Homeownership Still Part of the American Dream for Many

Affordability challenges persisted in the housing market in numerous parts of the country in 2018. Despite this, according to the National Association of REALTORS®' recently released Aspiring Home Buyers Profile, purchasing a home remains attractive to both owners and non-owners alike. While the optimism that now is a good time to buy remained weak at the end of the year, an overwhelming majority of non-owners said they do want to own a home in the future.
