Generation X Homebuyers in 2019

The Gen X (1965-1979) cohort often is ignored, sandwiched as it is between Younger Boomers (1955-1964) and Older Millennials (1980-1989). While it’s true that millennials overall are the largest group of homebuyers, Gen X is also an important generational group: they comprise 24 percent of recent buyers in 2018, and are the most racially and ethnically diverse population of buyers.
