Hispanics’ Home Values Experience Spike - is Geography at Play?

According to the Economic Policy Institute (EPI), while it is widely accepted that home values are generally recovering, there is great disparity in recovery of values by race. While inflation-adjusted median home values between 2010 and 2013 fell by 4.6 percent for white households and 18.4 percent for African-America households, home values actually increased by 3.7 percent for Hispanic households. The likely reason is location.
