2014: The Year of the Vacation Buyer

Last year was the year of the vacation buyer. Based on the recently released 2015 NAR Investment and Vacation Home Buyers Survey, the share of vacation buyers in the overall market increased 57.4 percent. While there was a growth in vacation buyers, there was a continued drop in investors in the market of 7.4 percent and a drop of primary residence buyers of 12.8 percent.
