The old stereotypes of relocating employees are pretty much gone. The typical 1960s mid-career male manager with the stay-at-home wife, 2.4 children, a three-bedroom house, station wagon and shaggy dog would be bewildered at today’s diverse transferee matrix of nationalities, gender, ages, household make-up and real estate preferences. However, a few truths remain almost universal among those moving.
